Tradevine caters for selling and shipping from multiple warehouses. Multiple warehousing is not available on the Lite plan.
The Warehouses screen can be found by selecting the Settings cog icon in the top right corner.
You can add as many warehouses as you like, but currently it is not possible to delete a warehouse. You can enable or disable a warehouse.
On the Lite plan all your stock, selling and shipping will be done against the default warehouse. Only the warehouse code, name and address are configurable on these plans.
On any of the other plans you can configure the status of the warehouse, along with the type of warehouse and the ability to sell or ship from the warehouse.
There are three types of warehouses:
- Own – you own the stock and you ship from this warehouse.
- 3PL – you own the stock, but another organisation does the shipping. Like a third party logistics company or a contract warehouse.
- Supplier – your supplier owns the stock and does the shipping.
When editing or adding a warehouse the following fields are available:
- Code
- A unique code for your warehouse. Can be up to 50 characters long, but we recommend you keep these as short as possible because these codes are sometimes used in some very narrow displays.
- Name
- The name of the warehouse. Can be up to 50 characters long.
- Type
- Own – you own the stock and you ship from this warehouse.
- 3PL – you own the stock, but another organisation does the shipping. Like a third party logistics company or a contract warehouse.
- Supplier – your supplier owns the stock and does the shipping.
- Supplier
- For 3PL or Supplier type warehouses you will need to set the supplier. A 3PL company is a supplier of services.
- Warehouse Address
- The physical address of the warehouse.
- Warehouse Status
- Disable the warehouse if you no longer require the warehouse, otherwise set this to enabled.

It is not possible to disable a warehouse if any of the products have stock.
- Primary Warehouse
- There can be only one primary default warehouse. This is your first choice warehouse for dispatching your shipments from. The primary warehouse will be the first warehouse Tradevine will target when allocating the shipments.
- Available to sell from
- Disable this if the warehouse is not available to sell from. E,g a quarantine warehouse where both the sell from and ship from checkboxes would be disabled.
- Available to ship from
- Disable this if you do not want to ship from this warehouse.
- By default Supplier warehouses are disabled, since the supplier does the physical shipping.
The Products tab will show you all the products associated with that warehouse.
You can use the Filter to refine the list of products and also search out archived products that might have stock. You can also sort the list by each of the columns.
