Pricing | Tradevine

Tradevine has a couple of default strategies which may be useful for you.

Organisation default pricing for your products

Use the Settings > Trade Settings screen to set the default pricing for all your products to get you started.

Pricing applied specifically to any edited products will always supersede the organisation default pricing for that product.

Default Markup: The default markup to be applied to new products. You can configure either a default markup or a default margin.
Default Margin: New products will be created with a default margin. You can configure either a default markup or a default margin.

Product pricing

The cost price and sell price of each product need to be configured. Screenshot Edit Product Pricing

Cost Price: The cost price should exclude GST even if your organisation is not registered for GST.; You should input this field before any of the other pricing fields, since the cost price is used as the basis for auto calculating the other pricing fields. Be aware that the field becomes read only after inventory Tracking is turned ON and a Warehouse Stock value exists.; If you process all your sales orders and purchase orders through Tradevine then the Cost Price will fluctuate based on your sales and purchases. Be aware that the sell price for the product does not fluctuate. This is fixed until you change it.; You can set a cost price for the default SHIP (shipping) product.
Tax Rate: You can set the tax specifically for each product. The list of available taxes should be specific to your country.; New Zealand organisations should always set the product's tax rate to GST, regardless of your own tax status. The only exceptions are the zero rated supplies recognised by IRD.
Markup %: You can optionally set the markup you want, or not. Setting this field will trigger the auto calculation of the other pricing fields.
Margin %: You can optionally set the margin you want, or not. Setting this field will trigger the auto calculation of the other pricing fields.
Price excl. Tax $: You can optionally set the sale price excluding tax, or not. Setting this field will trigger the auto calculation of the other pricing fields.; If you process all your sales orders and purchase orders through Tradevine then be aware that this field does not fluctuate. This is fixed until you change it. The other pricing fields like Cost Price, Markup and Margin will fluctuate.
Price incl. Tax $: You can optionally set the sale price including tax, or not. Setting this field will trigger the auto calculation of the other pricing fields.
