What is combined shipping on Trade Me?
We will be releasing combined shipping in a few stages to a selected group of sellers. The first stage will allow sellers to set up a combined promotional free shipping offer across all their listings. This means they will be able to set an item or price threshold that buyers have to reach in order to qualify for free shipping.
As an example, if the seller specifies an item threshold and sets it to 3, then buyers who purchase 3 items using Trade Me’s Shopping Cart qualify for free shipping from that seller. If the buyer doesn’t reach that threshold then the normal shipping options will apply per listing.
Note that this is just the first release and we’re working on giving sellers the ability to do more things with combined shipping offers.
Why should I create a combined shipping offer with free shipping?
We’ve launched combined promotional free shipping first because there is overwhelming evidence that free shipping increases sales because buyers love it. We recommend you take advantage of this very simple set up.

Who can create a combined shipping offer?
Any Trade Me seller who has listings that offer Buy Now with Pay Now will be able to create a combined shipping offer.
Does it cost anything to set up combined shipping?
No, it is free.
What type of listing can be included in a combined shipping offer?
All listings that have Buy Now and Pay Now as an option will be included. If you have any listings that are ‘Pick up only’, this will prevent you from having combined shipping on your listings.
Important: If any of your listings are pick up only, you won’t be able to create a combined shipping offer.
Are multiple quantity listings included as part of combined shipping offers?
Yes they are. For example, if your threshold is 5 items, then an MQL in the Cart where the buyer has specified a quantity of 5, will qualify for free shipping.
How do buyers qualify for combined shipping?
Any buyer can qualify for combined shipping if they meet your seller’s combined shipping threshold. Buyers add items to their Carts by simply selecting the Add to Cart button on any listing with Buy Now and Pay Now.
Can I exclude listings from my combined shipping offer?
Yes, simply edit the product’s listing rule and opt to not include it in your combined shipping offer.
How will I be able to see a successful combined shipping order?
On the sales order screen you can filter by the orders that have been combined. The reference column and field both display multiple purchase reference IDs, since cart items each have their own purchase reference numbers.
How do I set up combined shipping?
From Settings, navigate to your Selling Channel settings and expand out the Shopping Cart Free Shipping Offer section.
You can offer free shipping when your buyers purchase either a minimum number of items or a minimum order value.
